Through the ages man has developed many ways to torture his fellow man, or woman, as the case may be. Here you will find some of these tortures.

The pictures on the left show the reenactment of jesus being crucified on the cross(Isn't christianity great sometimes). These rites of penitence take place during holy week in the Philippines. These photos were taken in the town of Pampanga. The girl, pictured, is Elza jimenez. She was eighteen at the time. Elza, as many of the others, dragged their crosses to the site of their crucifixion. The ritual was carried out in the mid day sun under stifling heat. I am sad to say, they took the girl down after only ten minutes.

	These pictures were taken at the Martyrs of Paris museum. Some of the displays, not all shown here,are a man getting his eyes pulled out with tongs and a woman being bricked up. Others were a man being boiled in oil, a head being squeezed in a vise, and a man loosing his head in a guillotine Here you will find a man that was left inside his cage too long. A man is eaten alive by a caged rat on his stomach. Someone getting his ankles smashed with a mallet. A guy gets his leg ripped off on the wheel. A man gets his tongue ripped out by tongs.
